UPDATE: We’re very happy to share that Ellie now Luna has found her loving forever home!
“Hi Melody, When we first met Ellie, she was literally shaking and was terrified of meeting new people. In the same hour-long introduction period she let me pick her up, pet her face, and touch her feet. She’s a sweet girl that warms up to people very quickly, and she’s extremely smart and has mastered the dog door in just a week!
She didn’t answer to either Ellie or Lily, the name her wonderful foster family had given her, so we decided her name would be Luna, and we feel like it suits her pretty well. Luna loves sleeping next to us on the couch, clambering up and down the stairs, and romping in the backyard. She also has a tendency to try to steal our other dog Sammie’s food that she’ll need to learn to stop, but she’s already picking up how “feeding time” works.
Luna is amazing and we couldn’t ask for a better adoption experience. Our vet even complimented Love and Second Chances and the commitment to vaccinating, spaying/neutering, microchipping, and caring for these dogs that might have otherwise been forgotten. We’d recommend this organization in a second (and have!), and actual know a couple people already interested in meeting some of these dogs. Keep being amazing, and thank you so much for letting us make Luna part of our family! – Brad Hill”
