UPDATE: We’re very happy to share that Winnie now Sweet Potato has found her loving forever home!
“Melody, I am blown away at the level of logistics and coordination you take on with Love & Second Chances. Thank you for all that you and your team do to find so many animals caring homes.
The short of it is that we were happy to foster Winnie the Poodle, a.k.a. Sweet Potato, to help transition her to a good home, however we knew within a day of being with her that we wanted to be that home. I had forgotten how endearing small dogs can be, and as loving as all 14 lbs of her is with people, she holds her own with much larger dogs and gives our bully Siamese a run for his money – “Though she be but little, she is fierce!”. She has already proven herself a worthy trail dog, even though her city roots still show in her preference to potty on pavement. We can’t thank you and your network enough for bringing her into our lives as it has been a pleasure for each of our family and neighbors to jump into the care, feeding, and tending of Sweet Potato.
Pictures aren’t easy with her as she is either asleep or highly active, but i have attached a few with the family. Count us as supporters of your organization and we look forward to assisting, and fostering, in the future. Thank you for bringing this wonderful member into our family! With Deep Gratitude, Lora”

Brief Bio: Meet Winnie! Winnie was rescued with two other poodles from a abusive home that neglected them and their care. Winnie is a very sweet and loving girl who just wants a loving home to call her own. This beautiful girl loves to be around people and would make a very great companion. Winnie is very smart and eager to please. We are looking for a home that understands the responsibilities of owning a dog. Winnie is patiently waiting!
