UPDATE: We’re happy to share that Marlo has found his loving forever home!
Melody, Every day, Marlowe becomes a bit more brave! Now he walks in all kinds of neighborhoods, new streets are no problem. He has stopped flinching when loud trucks go past. He walks with other doggies and has had playdates with my Mom’s lab. He is in love with my daughter and follows her. He will greet new people (cautiously) when they come to the house. He is very polite and is learning ‘come’ ‘leave it’ and ‘let’s go.’ He is still scared of my sons, but we will keep working with him and them! We’ve decided to keep this sweetie dog. Thank you for rescuing him and bringing him into our lives. He is an angel dog! -Alison and Stu

Brief Bio: Meet Marlo! Marlo is a very gentle, sweet, and well-behaved dog. Poor Marlo was left to starve and abandoned in a gas station where he was innocently waiting for his family to come back. Marlo has no idea that his family forgot about him and left him. Marlo’s foster mom was stopping for gas and heard that poor Marlo had been wandering around for weeks and was very lean down to his bones. Marlo’s foster mom is an experienced dog rescuer and didn’t have the heart to just leave him behind. She quickly got off her car and slipped a leash over him. Marlo was rushed to the vet for a complete checkup. Marlo was diagnosed with heartworms as he was living on the street. However, Marlo is completely treated and like any healthy dogs, he will need a dose of heartgard every month. Marlo is one healthy boy. He had been neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed and microchip.
Marlo is such a sweetheart and greet everyone politely. He is great on leash and plays well with other dogs. Marlo is being well-taken in his foster home and getting all the love and attention he deserves. He will be a great addition for any family who is willing to open their hearts to this lovely boy. Marlo is ready for a forever home. All he needs is a chance to live. Will you be that special family for him?
