UPDATE: We are very happy to share that handsome boy Audi now Augie has found his loving forever home! Audi is now getting spoiled rotten by his new home and loving it! We cannot be happier for this well deserving fella! Enjoy your life Audi!

“Hi Melody! Thanks so much for finding us such a wonderful canine companion!  I never thought I could love another dog like I loved our beautiful rescue dog “Flash” who we lost in July…..but I was wrong!  We already love Augie! We love our doggy sooooo much. Thank-you! Thank-you!

I told Augie to close his eyes and make a wish and The Wishing Angel would appear! (He told me later, he wished for world peace…..but then changed it to a big juicy steak! Ha Ha! silly dog!)”

Brief Bio: Meet Audi! Audi was rescued as a stray scavenging for food scraps around a school field. When the rescuer found him she was saddened by what she saw. Audi was severely dehydrated and emaciated, he was nothing but skin and bones, his spine was protruding from his back and his ribs and hip bones visible through his skin. Poor Audi was very matted and dirty; his skin was so inflamed there was not an inch that was not scaly and oozing. He was extremely weak he could barely stand but his survival instinct was strong when he slowly climbed on to the front deck of the rescuer’s scooter for her to take him to the vet.

At the clinic Audi’s tail never stopped wagging as if he was thanking all the nice people who saved him. He was only 39 pounds when he was first weighed; it’s hard to imagine the severe food deprivation he had suffered before he was rescued. Audi had developed a benign fatty tumor on his left side flank behind the ribcage. He had to undergo surgery to have the tumor removed but recovered from the procedure quickly. Audi has since recovered fully and his skin infections have completely cleared. He has gained weight and is now a happy healthy boy! Audi is very friendly, sweet natured, and great with dogs and even cats. Audi loves to play ball and he enjoys his walks.

We are looking for a home that will give Audi all the love and attention he deserves, Audi is patiently waiting!
