UPDATE: We’re so happy to share that Mabo now Tomato has found his loving forever home! Mabo is now enjoying his days out exploring with his new home and getting all the love he needs! Enjoy your life Mabo!
Hi Melody – At this point, you’d have to pry this pup outta my arms to get him back (which I know is the opposite of what you’re trying to do) I’ve renamed him tomato and he is everything I could ever want in a puppy and more. I couldn’t be happier, and he is exceeding expectations everyday. He heels next to me without any instructions, and is already joining me on horse rides and follows my lead and voice commands.
Mabo is doing so well and is loving life. I truly couldn’t imagine a better dog for me, and am so happy I’ve been picky up till now in choosing the right pup. But I don’t need a second longer to tell you I would like to move forward and finalize adoption. Honestly, it’s been obvious since day 1. He’s picked up everything so fast! He went to the barn with me last night, played with another pup, smelled around, followed me politely, and is overcoming his shyness impressively. Everyday is an adventure and I’m stimulating this little dude with tons if positive exposure to people, fun, and places. He’s perking up everyday and crashing and cuddling every night.
I notice how bonded he is with me and he looks to me to know who he can greet. He’s still shy and reluctant to pass strangers on the street or on the hiking trails, but any friend of mine or someone I acknowledge, Mabo is very willing and happy to meet if given a moment. . It’s ideal. Also, I’m pretty sure he’s picked up potty training already!! He asked to go outside twice yesterday by hopping off the couch and sitting patiently at the door. and then did his business immediately once outside. ..next up I want to teach him to ring a bell when he wants outside :0 So proud, this guy is going to bring me so much happiness and I’m glad I get to adopt and save a life at the same time. -Cheers, Lauren”

Brief Bio: Meet Mabo! Mabo was rescued along with his littermates when they were abandoned in a box at a park late at night. Our rescue partner got a call about them and didn’t hesitate to take them in. The puppies were brought straight to the vet and were told to be in good health. Now the puppies are ready for a loving home to call their own. They are all very smart puppies with a solid sweet temperament. We are looking for a home that understands the responsibilities of raising a puppy and will continue with socialization. Mabo is patiently waiting!
