Brief Bio:

Meet Willy! Willy was rescued along with litter mates when they were found abandoned with no food, water or shelter. Thankfully a rescuer was able to spot them and get them off the streets and to the vet for a full check up. Willy is a sweet pup who would love nothing more then to find a forever home. We are looking for a home that understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a pup. Willy is patiently waiting!

"Hi Melody,

Willy is doing great and seems to be enjoying his new home! We are surprised everyday with how well he is adjusting. He was shy at first, and still would rather be ignored by strangers than be the center of attention but once he warms up he is quite lovable and energetic. He likes to play with his toys, nap, play-wrestle, cuddle, get belly rubs, explore the neighborhood and downtown, and especially loves walking to the ball fields nearby where he likes to hop, sprint, and race around on the grass with us. Man is he fast! He did great on his first camping trip to the Sequoia National Forest, where he got to sniff out the trails to a waterfall and cuddle up during a meteor shower. He is a quick learner who is happy to give you a "shake" for a treat and sometimes you can even catch him smiling showing off his pearly white teeth.
As new adopted dog parents we feel lucky that Willy is so well behaved and a happy dog. He's mellow, quick to catch on, and is the perfect balance of playtime and downtime. He has had minimal potty accidents indoors and so far has stuck to only chewing on his toys, minus one sandal that was left out and just way too tempting. We started crate training immediately which he was good with but after some trial and error we found that when he does have to stay home alone he's happiest being in the common area where he's free to choose between his toys, crate, bed, or the couch and now doesn't make a peep when we have leave for a few hours.
We're so happy to have Willy as part of the family and he's made a lot of new people and puppy friends in the past two weeks!
Thank you Melody and Love & Second Chances!!
Amanda & Greg"
