No one said it would be easy, they only said it would be worth it.
Meet Macy! Macy was abandoned on the street along with her 12 siblings. They were really young puppies when abandoned and scavenging on their own to find food. Thankfully rescuers were able to get them to safety and to the vet for a full check up. Macy is a very sweet and affectionate girl who would love to find her forever home. We are looking for a home that understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a puppy. Macy is patiently waiting for a home to call her own!
Hi Melody, Our family was so excited about adopting Macy "Leia" that we got to the airport WAY too early! :) From the second we walked out of SFO with her, we were all in love! She was so shy and just trying to figure it all out. By the next morning, that shyness had worn off. Leia REALLY enjoys playing with Sophia (4) and Seamus (5). She gets super excited when they come home from school or even just wake up. Leia loves the backyard and running in circles and putting her face in the grass. We took her to the vet and they said she was healthy and VERY cute! She had already made her first trip to Grandma's house and met her "cousins". Leia is such a great addition to our family. We are working on getting her house trained and she is even signed up for puppy school, which starts on the 25th. We are so happy we found her and so thankful to you, Eve and everyone else at Love and Second Chances! Attached are some photos.I can't believe how much she has grown in the short time we have had her (look at the picture or my husband holding her at SFO and then again last night). -Annie
If you have extra time on your hand and would like to help please consider volunteering! Rescue groups need dedicated volunteers to help with events, fundraisers, home checks, transports, etc. All of these things help enable the rescue to expand their network and help more dogs in need.
