UPDATE: Howie has been adopted!
“Hi Anita, Yes, he is home to stay! I attached some pictures of the cute little guy. I’ll sign and send the contract later today. Howie quickly adjusted to his new home in Gilroy and his new brother, Shorty the corgi. Watch for pictures of them on Instagram @shortycorgi. Shorty is an older dog and has a bit of trouble tolerating Howie’s antics and attempts to play, but he’s probably just jealous that he isn’t the only dog in the house now. Howie is teething right now and can’t stop chewing! He’ll chew anything he can get his paws on, but really enjoys pig ears the most. On walks, we sometimes run together and Howie will take the leash in his mouth and lead the way. When he’s all tired out Howie likes to chill by laying out on the cool hardwood floor or curling up on his memory foam bed.”

Brief Bio: Meet Howie! Howie was rescued along with another puppy when they were found abandoned in a rural mountain area. This area is known to have many unwanted dogs or puppies dumped there. Some of them succumb to diseases and starvation because of the limited resource in that area. The rescuer found a handful of puppies that were all skin and bones near an old container house. The rescuer was a garbage collector with a kind heart. Although she was very poor herself, she still wanted to help these puppies who looked more miserable than her. All of them were rushed to the vet and given a thorough bath. They were de-wormed and given flea treatment before they were relocated to foster care. After come TLC all the puppies are now healthy.
Howie is one of these adorably sweet puppies. We suppose he is mixed with golden retriever , so his hair are so shinny and soft to make him is so special and cute. He loves to cuddle and enjoys playing with people. He is very playful and gets along well with other dogs and cats. Howie is very well-behaved and is very good at following people’s commands. We are looking for a home that will give Howie all the love and attention he deserves and understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a puppy. Howie is patiently waiting!
