No one said it would be easy, they only said it would be worth it.
Meet Trixie! Trixie was rescued from a puppy mill where she lived her whole life being used for breeding. She was so happy to be finally out, but still unsure what life outside her cage was like. Trixie is very affectionate and loves to rub her body on people like a cat! She also would use her head to nudge on your arm to get you to pet her. She follows her people around the house wherever they go and will find a place to lean on legs and feet to stay close. She ducks her head a little and will lay flat on the ground when someone raises their arm due to being likely hit in her past. Trixie is great with other dogs, she’s fostered with 2 medium and 2 small dogs and has been doing well! Only problem is she’s a little dominant with other French bulldogs. She seems to only be that way with other Frenchies. Trixie is still working on potty training and is slowly making less accidents around the house, but needs to find a home who will keep up with consistently letting her out. We are looking for a home who understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a dog as a member of their family. Trixie is patiently waiting!
"Hi Melody, Trixie now Nova is adjusting so well, and oh my gosh we love her so very much! When she came home to us we had the expected struggles with potty training and the crate was her hiding place when she was nervous she would go to it. Now she doesn't have a crate at all. We're still working on potty training but she's doing pretty well. She's so playful and silly now, and more doggy like each day. Nova will hop and hop to let us know she wants up on the couch and loves to cuddle with us. The first day we introduced her to her yard the grass was so unfamiliar to her lol but now she demands the door stay open so she can roam in and out as she pleases! She has such a bubbly personality that has really shined thru these past couple weeks! Nova still won't walk on a leash but she absolutely loves her walks in her doggy stroller 😁 She loves tug a war with her toys and she loves any toy that speaks! Our family is now complete with Nova here. We are so thankful to you and the foster for what you do for these dogs! Because of you we have our Nova Girl! Thank you Melody!"
