No one said it would be easy, they only said it would be worth it.
Meet Tracy! Tracy was rescued along with other stray puppies when they were found huddling in a pile of garbage. Luckily rescuers were able to get them out of the dump site and to the vet for a full check up. We are looking for a home that understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a puppy. Tracy is patiently waiting!
"Kona has really started to settle into her forever home. When we first took her home, she was skittish around strangers and would bark or growl whenever someone came into sight, now, she either ignores them or goes up to get a nice pet. There are still a few individuals that she's wary of, but she's learning how to cope at a good pace. She loves her pups though! She always wants to play with dogs (especially the big ones)... even when they may not want to play with her. Kona is extremely smart; she already knows how to sit, stay, lay down, shake, and spin and she's doing very well in her dog training classes! She joins me at work and everyone loves the new office dog, she's taken it over as her own. When we have to leave her, even for a minute, she misses us and will wait by the window until we return. She loves to go for walks or play with dogs and on her downtime, she loves to lounge and nap with her daddy and favorite toy. We're excited to see how much she continues to grow over time and we're blessed to have her as a part of our family!"
If you have extra time on your hand and would like to help please consider volunteering! Rescue groups need dedicated volunteers to help with events, fundraisers, home checks, transports, etc. All of these things help enable the rescue to expand their network and help more dogs in need.
