No one said it would be easy, they only said it would be worth it.
Meet Lola! Lola was rescued from a puppy mill when the owners abandoned it and left all the dogs at the mill. The only way authorities found out was when neighbors complained about a smell. When they arrive onsite, there were many deceased dogs due to starvation and no water. Lola was lucky to survive and be rescued. She is a very sweet girl, but needs to gain confidence in herself. She has one missing eye likely due to an injury early in her life. All her life was spent alone in a small rusty cage. We are looking for a home who understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a pup. Lola is patiently waiting!
"Lola, now Lucy, is doing fantastic! From the terrified, underweight pup we picked up at the airport, she has fit into our family so well. She loves running around the park and chases dogs three times her size! She loves playing with her new brother, Barkley. She has gained more than 3 pounds and is in great spirits. She loves to snuggle and we are so glad to give our one-eyed cutie a forever home."
If you have extra time on your hand and would like to help please consider volunteering! Rescue groups need dedicated volunteers to help with events, fundraisers, home checks, transports, etc. All of these things help enable the rescue to expand their network and help more dogs in need.
