Meet Squirtle! Squirtle is an adorable pup who was rescued from the euthanasia list at the shelter for a rectal prolapse. He has since had surgery and is on his way to a full recovery! Squirtle is the happiest, goofiest, and friendliest pup ever!! Everyone is his best friend, dogs, humans and even cats! He loves giving kisses and likes to snuggle when his foster while watching TV and demanding belly rubs.

Squirtle is a foodie and is very food motivated! This makes training a lot easier! He is still a puppy so will play with his mouth when he is very playful and energetic. Squirlte loves his toys, especially puzzles, treats inside a plastic bottle or cardboard box as well as dog puzzle toys. We avoid any bones with a circle or hole in them, this can get stuck over their jaw and will need to go to a vet to remove the toy.

He is a smart boy and knows words like sit, outside, inside, potty, kennel up, wait and leave! His foster is currently working on wait, cross (the street), leash on, leash off, leave it (anything you don’t want him to attend to and pick up (to pick him up).

We are looking for a home who understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a puppy. Squirtle is patiently waiting!
