Meet Lime! Lime is an adorable 4 year old Jindo mix. She is the absolute sweetest pup who loves to snuggle with her humans, receive pets and hugs, and eat chicken treats. Her fosters both agree she’s the most affectionate and chill dog (read: therapy dog) they have fostered.

Lime loves treats (did we say chicken?) and is very intelligent, almost human-like. She easily picks up on simple hand motions and verbal queues. She arrived out of the crate already knowing basic commands like sit, paw, and down. At home, Lime follows her foster humans around and can usually be found curled up near one of them, hoping someone takes a break to give her pets (but she wants you to know she’s not needy). Although she’s calm inside, she loves her walks and exploring the usual neighborhood hangouts in search of little critters to adorably pounce on like an arctic fox hunting in the snow. She’s good on leash, though she’ll sometimes pull when excited.

So far, she’s indifferent to other dogs (#teamintrovert). On walks, she doesn’t pay them much attention except for a brief sniff before politely continuing on her way. Although she was the only dog in her foster home, she hasn’t exhibited resource guarding with any doggie guests. With meeting new people, she’ll often let strangers pet her, but she may take longer to warm up to men.

When Lime first arrived, she would often get startled on walks due to the new sights and sounds. During the last few weeks, she’s gotten much more comfortable but will still get nervous when walking in crowded areas. Her ideal home will be in a quiet neighborhood where she can continue to settle in and explore.

Lime would do well in an active home that gives her plenty of love in return, continues to build her confidence, and understands the responsibilities of raising a dog as a member of the family. Lime is patiently waiting!
