Behavioral Teddy is quite timid and hesitant around new people. The family who adopts him will need the patience to gain his trust and discover what a sweetheart he really is. Since Teddy was likely born in the wild or dumped at a young age, he will need someone willing to introduce him to the world and all its possibilities. He will reward you with his lasting gratitude and love.

Location Fostered in Danville, CA
Meet Teddy! Teddy is an adorable 6-8 months old German Shepherd mix. He was found with 2 other German Shepherd mixes running around the Danville Police Station. They were starving and thirsty, and running into traffic. Their rescuer caught them and brought them home. They sleep in a mudroom with a doggie door to their yard. They are definitely a “family” who survived because they had each other.

Teddy is a quiet, shy pup who, once he gets to know you, will be your best buddy. He prances like a newborn reindeer on his gangling legs when he is playing. Although he takes a while to warm up to you, once he does he is a gentle giant. Teddy spends most of his day sleeping in his mudroom or napping while following the sunshine around the yard. He is food motivated, gentle when taking food from your hand, and is not a chewer.

We are looking for a home who understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a puppy. Teddy is patiently waiting!
