Meet Sylvia! Sylvia’s an adorable 8 month old sweet, playful, shy puppy. She is dog friendly but does take a bit to warm up to new people due to her timid disposition. She loves toys and can be happy being independent.  One of her unique traits is she frequently tilts her head while interacting with her; it’s pretty adorable. She enjoys playing fetch, chew toys, and squeaky toys.

Sylvia runs into the crate when she hears food or commanded “crate”, and will now even sit before receiving food/treats in the crate. She has been great about holding her bladder all night and promptly pees when let out in the morning. She has had minimal accidents inside while being fostered now for about a month.

While she does enjoy chew toys and rips them up, she has not been destructive to any household items besides what she’s been given, though she has tried to take an item out of the recycling bin once or twice to play with. Despite her timid demeanor, she does love to play intensely with her dog friends — wrestling, chasing, rolling around in the grass.

Sylvia could be happy in a household by herself, as she tends to be happy laying in the yard by herself and playing with toys. She also seems to enjoy a playmate companion as well, so would also do well if in a household with another dog. We are looking for a home who understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a puppy. Sylvia is patiently waiting!
