Meet Ruan!  Ruan was rescued from a situation where he was neglected.  He had been kept in a cage since he was 3 months old.  The previous owner who abandoned Ruan never took him for walks. He was frequently bullied by other puppies.  Despite all that, Ruan is very friendly and gentle to humans and other dogs.  He can be a little shy at first, but a few treats will get him to open up very quickly.

Ruan follows his foster around the house and sleeps under her desk when she works.  Ruan is very affectionate, but can get a little anxious when his foster leaves the room.  He is a tall dog with a puppy brain and likes to jump.  Luckily, he is very food motivated and will benefit from reward-based obedience training.

Ruan will do best in a home where he won’t be left alone for an extended period of time.  He has a lot of energy and would be a good match for a home with a yard and another friendly, playful dog. He could also do well as a single dog in a very active home.

We are looking for a home that understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a puppy.  Ruan is patiently waiting for a home to call his own!
