Meet Julie! Julie is an adorable 2 year old Jindo mix. Julie was rescued with Tess and 19 other dogs from an illegal dog meat slaughterhouse on June 27-29, 2021. Save Korean Dogs and activists had been protesting at the illegal dog auction house in Paju City and they located some dogs on this private farm in Goyang. The dogs were being raised by their owner to slaughter and sell to the local dog meat restaurants. The old man released 19 dogs. He was charged and the dog farm and all the cages were demolished on July 1, 2021.

All the rescue dogs have been spayed/neutered, updated on all shots and microchipped. Import papers, Rabies and DHLPP (Distemper, Hepatitis & Kennel Cough, Leptospirosis, Parainfluenza virus, Parvovirus) Vaccine Certificates will be provided.

Julie would do best in a home with another confident dog, a calm home but active family with a secure fenced in yard. Because of her background and where she came from, Julie can be shy at first and needs some time to open up. Once opened up, she is very sweet and playful. She may take some time to bond and adapt, but she loves affection and is very sweet.

To prevent her from getting loose her adopters must use a double leash with a martingale collar and harness. We are looking for a home who understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a dog as a member of their family. Julie is patiently waiting!
