Meet Gabe! Gabe is an adorable 7 month old Jindo/Border Collie mix. He is a very affectionate pup that loves to stretch out on the bed or snuggle up next to his human with his head resting on a leg.

Gabe is a total foodie at heart and is very smart, making it easy for him to pick up commands and figure things out quickly. So far he knows “sit”, “look at me”, “leave it”, “come”, and “crate” and is learning to follow them consistently. When Gabe is not inquisitively following his foster humans around, he’s resting close by or looking for ways to exert his puppy energy. He enjoys going on walks, jogging and adventuring around the neighborhood, learning commands, solving food puzzles, playing tug, and (unfortunately) counter-surfing when the opportunity presents itself.

Gabe is good on leash. He doesn’t pull but will often zig zag to take in all the neighborhood sights and smells. He’s fine with other dogs as long as there’s a slow introduction and has not exhibited any resource guarding with people (untested with dogs).

When Gabe first arrived, he was very cautious and alert, often barking when startled by strange noises. He has improved a lot since and would benefit from a quiet home and neighborhood where he can continue to settle in and get more comfortable.

Gabe would do well in an active home that exercises him both mentally and physically, continues to work on building his confidence, and understands the responsibilities of raising a young pup as a member of their family. Gabe is patiently waiting!
