Meet Eden! Eden is an adorable 1.5 year old Jindo mix. When it comes to people, Eden is very skittish and prefers women over men. She prefers a family that is willing to give her space in the beginning and lets her come on her own terms. She may be a high flight risk when first joining her new family and she may nip if she is not ready or if there are sudden movements (from humans and pets). Once she has gained a bond with her people, she will give kisses, become your 2nd shadow, and jump for joy (literally) when you come home.

Eden is great with respectful dogs but will be very submissive in the beginning before she opens up. She then becomes playful. She has a lot of energy and likes to run, jump, and gather all the toys. She has not been tested around cats or children, but it is recommended that families a provide a slow introduction.

While she is house trained at her current foster home, she may take some time to readjust to her new environment. She has had 3 incidents in the beginning due to fear, but has improved greatly and has made no accidents since! She is very smart and can pick-up training quickly. She has picked up recall as well as how to sit and stay. She is great on the leash, but will pull if she is scared or sees a small animal. However, with just the lightest tug on the leash, she responds very well.

Eden does have a lot of separation anxiety which leads to destructive behavior. She will bark and whine if left alone. She is currently working on crate training which has improved some of these behaviors. It is recommended that her new family continues this training as she needs to understand house routines and boundaries.

Eden is looking for a home that understands the responsibilities of owning a dog. Eden will need a special home that takes the time and patience to build her confidence and allow her to thrive. Eden is patiently waiting!
