Meet Berrie, a delightful 2-4-year-old French Bulldog from a Taiwan puppy mill, affectionately known as our “Potato Pup.” Humans weren’t very nice to her in her puppy mill life, so it might take a little while for her to warm up and not be on alert. Berrie cherishes her independence yet enjoys checking in on her humans regularly to see what they’re up to. A champion napper, she’s known for her adorable snoring sessions, whether cozying up in her crate, lounging on a dog bed, or soaking in a sunny spot in the backyard. Like many puppy mill pups, Berrie is very food motivated. Berrie does face some challenges, such as a preference for less savory snacks post-potty, she is recovering from an eye ulcer, and ongoing skin conditions that have led to some hair loss. Her new family will need to keep a close eye on her during bathroom breaks and collaborate with a veterinarian to manage her eye and skin health effectively.
Berrie is sociable with other dogs her size or bigger than her, approaching them with her charming, squished snoot for a gentle sniff—though slow introductions are her style to ensure everyone gets along smoothly. She bursts into joyful zoomies around the backyard, especially with her foster siblings, showing off her playful spirit. At night, she sleeps soundly in her “den,” and during the day, she loves carrying her stuffies and nylon chews all over the house. Her cute little tongue often peeks out, even in her sleep, adding to her endearing charm.
