Meet the goodest girl Becky!

This standard poodle is taking Michelle Yeoh’s advice, “Ladies, never let anyone tell you you are past your prime” and is ready to meet her new family! Newly retired from working at a college helping other dogs learn, Becky is an intelligent, polite standard poodle (re: she’s the original kind) ready to live her best life!

From the moment she arrived at SFO, she was ready to go (she immediately walked out of her crate, stretched her legs, and walked around the neighborhood)!

She hasn’t slowed down since! So far she’s been keeping busy:

🐶 Learning her commands in English (she’s fluent in Korean commands, but she’s ready to level up her language game)
🐶 Taking long strolls around the neighborhood to sniff and explore
🐶 Playing catch (or chase) with her squeaky ball
🐶  Napping all over her foster’s living room
🐶 Trying doggy snacks (she loves beef burgers and chicken ones…but she’s ready to try all of them)
🐶 Meeting her first American doggy friend and hung out at his house
🐶 Barking and saying hi to dogs on her walk
🐶 Getting her hair and nails done at the groomers (both said she was an all-star during her visit!
🐶 Watching her foster’s apartment when they’re out (no signs of separation anxiety for Becky when she’s alone, just more nap time!)

Becky is friendly with dogs but does bark and tug at first. Since her voice can be intimidating, a slow introduction would benefit her as she meets new dog friends. But after that, she’s a sweetheart! She’ll play if they want and do her own thing if they don’t. She’s friendly with people (including children) and is curious about her surroundings.

Becky is ready to experience life living with a family! She spent her whole life sharing her bowl and toys with other dogs, and now she’s ready for more! She will do well with a 🐶 fellow pupper to keep her company or on her own as long as it’s in a home ready to show her love, encourage her curiosity and teach her all the things she’s been missing out on most of her life! Beck is patiently waiting!
