Helping death-row, abused, and neglected dogs find forever homes. We do not discriminate by breed, age or special needs. As long as we’re capable of helping out, we will never say no!
Meet Riley! Riley is an adorablr 3 year old Pompitz mix! Riely was rescued from a high-kill shelter where he didn’t get any inquiries for adoption for over a year, which increases the risk of being euthanized anytime soon. Luckily rescuers were able to get him out before his time ran out.
Riley is very friendly with people. He shows great interest in strangers and likes sniffing around people but when people try to pet him first, he gets shy and tends to hide. However, he warms up pretty quickly and he shows great amount of affection. No aggressive behaviors whatsoever.
He does wonderfully with other dogs. He tends to play with dogs he likes and tries to avoid aggressive or over-playful dogs. Going out for walk is his favorite! He waits on the porch when his foster mom picks up the harness 🙂 As he gets so excited when he steps out of the house, he often pulls the leash a bit only at the beginning. Riley has no separation anxiety. He doesn’t show much interest in cats when he encounters them on the street.
We are looking for a home who understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a dog as a member of their family. Riley in patiently waiting!
If you have extra time on your hand and would like to help please consider volunteering! Rescue groups need dedicated volunteers to help with events, fundraisers, home checks, transports, etc. All of these things help enable the rescue to expand their network and help more dogs in need.
