Meet Pono! Pono is a sweet and timid 1 year old Jindo mix. He has made much progress since coming to US six months ago after being rescued from South Korea. Pono was adopted to a lovely home, but unfortunately needs to be rehome due to fearfulness towards the family’s 15 year old son. We are guessing it’s his towering height of around 6’5″ that makes him scared. He is good with the other members, including their other son.

Pono is an easy going dog that is comfortable lounging on the couch or going on long hikes. His favorite activity is going to the dog park where he gets along well with practically all dogs. He is suspicious of strangers in general (a typical Jindo trait). He does well with the house cat and wants to play with her but the cat is not receptive to it. He is more skittish than the average dog. He can be affectionate especially around the house. We are looking for a home who understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a dog as a member of their family. Pono is patiently waiting!
