Meet Riva! Riva was rescued from a horrific “private shelter” that got busted for severe neglect and cruelty. Riva was one of the lucky few that were found alive from over 200 dogs that were found there. Many of the dogs had starved to death and were crammed in small kennels with multiple other dogs. Water buckets were filled with nothing but mold and maggots with dead dogs in nearly ever kennel. It was amazing how Riva even made it out alive let alone trusting enough. Riva is a sweet girl despite what happened however would be best as the only dog in the home. We are looking for a home that understands the responsibilities of owning a dog and a home that will continue to show Riva what it means to be in a loving home. Riva is patiently waiting for a home to call her own!
