No one said it would be easy, they only said it would be worth it.
Meet Poppy! Poppy was rescued as a stray puppy when she was found scavenging for food at a farmers market. Luckily for Poppy a rescuer was able to get her off the streets and to the vet for a full check up. Due to the clip on her ears Poppy was likely a TNR dog who was released after fixing. The rescuer felt Poppy had a lot of potential and wanted to find her a loving home. We are looking for a home that understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a puppy. Poppy is a sweet girl who would love nothing more then to find her forever home. Poppy is patiently waiting!
"Hi Melody, Poppy fits into our family perfectly. Only ever having one dog, Bear, it is nice to see them enjoy each other and play. I always tell Bear, that Poppy is going to “keep him young.” Poppy is playful, smart, and enjoys cuddling. She is very gentle with our 15-month-old daughter, who to her is “pop-pop.” Poppy and the cat are adjusting to each other. Our first dog was a rescue, in which we had a wonderful experience. This time was no different. I knew right away Poppy was the one for us. She has made our sweet little family complete."
If you have extra time on your hand and would like to help please consider volunteering! Rescue groups need dedicated volunteers to help with events, fundraisers, home checks, transports, etc. All of these things help enable the rescue to expand their network and help more dogs in need.
