No one said it would be easy, they only said it would be worth it.
Meet Leia! Leia was rescue with her mom and siblings from a hoarding case in Palo Alto, CA. They were living in a backyard with over 21 other dogs. Leia is a little shy due to being under socialized and will need a home who is willing to work with her and build confidence. She is very sweet and loves to be by people. She is also great with other dogs and loves to run around and play with toys. Leia is patiently waiting!
"I have decided to change Leia’s name to Boba. She has adapted really well to her new surroundings! My homeowners love her and so does my boss at work which is good news :) Because she is a puppy, she is still teething and still being potty trained but she is definitely learning fast! She is very good with car rides and still sleeps a lot! At first I was a little concerned about her deworming process but that seems to have passed and she is pooping well. Shes been such a blessing and loves to sleep next to my face haha. One of the things she still needs to work on is socializing so I am trying to get her to be more open to meeting new people. She’s getting better because she was used to growl at new people. She is also very good at walking without a leash and will stay by my side at all times. She’s definitely gotten bigger as it is getting harder to hold her, and I can’t wait to watch her grow bigger :)"
If you have extra time on your hand and would like to help please consider volunteering! Rescue groups need dedicated volunteers to help with events, fundraisers, home checks, transports, etc. All of these things help enable the rescue to expand their network and help more dogs in need.
