Meet Kara! Kara was rescued along with her litter mates when they were found by a rescuer while out feeding stray packs. Kara’s mom had given birth to a litter almost a year ago that had came into rescue and has since all been adopted. When the rescuer found out that Kara’s mom had again gotten pregnant and given birth they were thankfully able to get all 12 puppies off the streets and to the vet for a full check up. Kara’s mom had been a tough on to catch and had escaped many attempts at rescue. Luckily, this time, rescuers were able to catch her and get her to the vet to get fixed. Kara is a very sweet girl but she is very shy when it comes to strangers so will require ongoing socialization. Kara needs a very patient home that will understand and give her the time she needs to open up. Kara is great with dogs and will be best in a home with another dog as she gains confidence with a companion.

Although Kara is a very sweet girl she does have separation anxiety so would ideally be best in a home that would not leave her alone for extended period of time. Kara does best in a home with a yard, she enjoys running and playing in the yard but is still working on leash and can still be afraid of the “outside world” Kara needs continued training and a dog savvy home willing to put in the work. Once Kara opens up she is a goofy and loving girl. We are looking for a home that understands the responsibility of owning and raising a puppy. Kara would nothing more then to find a home to call her own. Kara is patiently waiting!
