Brief Bio:

Meet Jerome! Jerome was found along with litter mates when they were found abandoned at an empty construction site. The rescuer knew if they were not rescued they would not survive due to the freezing cold weather and the lack of food, shelter and water. The rescuer was about to gather all the puppies that were dumped there and get them to the vet where they received a clean bill of health. Jerome is a sweet puppy who would love nothing more then to find a forever home. We are looking for a home that understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a puppy. Jerome is patiently waiting!

ADOPTED!

"Hi Melody,

Everything is going really well with the pup! My stepdaughter and husband are totally in love with him and even the kitty has fallen in love with him. We've decided to change his name to Bo which he is responding to really well. He is doing great and we love having him as part of the family!!

We began crate training which is going really well. We have not closed the door yet, but he retreats to the crate at night and for breaks throughout the day without commands so we know he is totally comfortable with it.

His leash training is also going really well. In the first few days he was having trouble leaving the front door (which could have also been due to the rain), but he is now totally comfortable walking out of the door without any help. He loves running around in the back yard and he is learning the concept of fetching.

He is still using the pee pad and has not yet learned to go outside. We are continuing to work with him on going outside but we understand this may take some time. We are meeting with a doggie day care this week to continue to socialize him and to help move him away from the pee pad. He is a very smart puppy so we know he'll pick up the concept in no time!

Our biggest concern throughout the adoption process was finding a puppy that would get along with our 6-month-old kitty. We are very excited to share that they are both getting along really, really well! We purchased a play pen to help us with the initial introduction, but we didn't end up using it to separate them. They got along together instantly! They love to chase each other around the house and then sleep together when they are tired. It is honestly amazing how well they are getting along in such a short period of time.

I've attached the few photos I have on my phone of the puppy with the kitty and the puppy with my baby niece. My husband has more on his phone which I can send later.

We would love to keep in touch with you and your organization. We are so pleased with how this has all turned out and we are so excited to be able to share our home with such a loving little guy. Thank you for all of your help throughout the process! We will continue to spread the word about your organization and we hope we will be able to help you find homes for other pups!

Thank you.
Alma"
