No one said it would be easy, they only said it would be worth it.
Meet Hardy! Hardy was found along with another puppy when they were dumped on a roadside with no food, water or shelter. Poor puppies were starving and looking through trash for anything they could eat. Luckily a rescuer was able to spot them and get them off the streets and to the vet for a full check up. Hardy is a sweet and spunky puppy who would love nothing more then to find a forever home. We are looking for a home that understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a puppy. Hardy is patiently waiting!
"Hey Melody! Oh man, things are going great with the pups! We've renamed them Daisy and Duke (Rainbow and Hardy). Duke is in puppy training class at Gold Country K9's and we're using what I learn there to train Daisy. Unfortunately our schedules are such that we can't take both dogs, but so far they're both learning well. They've already picked up on their new names and are continuing well with sit and stay. Their house training is progressing well too. They're also getting along with our two existing dogs really well. Daisy in particular is really teaching our dogs how to play again. She's the perfect balance of submissive and persistent! :D Duke is getting there, but he's pretty much just interested in playing with Daisy."
If you have extra time on your hand and would like to help please consider volunteering! Rescue groups need dedicated volunteers to help with events, fundraisers, home checks, transports, etc. All of these things help enable the rescue to expand their network and help more dogs in need.
