No one said it would be easy, they only said it would be worth it.
Bert was rescued when he was found on the side of the road after being hit and ran over by a car. Bert was very badly injured and losing a lot of blood but the car that hit him never stopped. Thankfully someone who witnessed the whole thing was able to call for help and Bert was quickly rushed to the vet for surgery and treatment. Bert had to get his arm amputated due to the severity of the damaged and needed stitches to close up his major head wound that opened up almost to the bone. Luckily for Bert he was able to make a full recovery and has find found his loving forever home. Bert is now getting spoiled rotten and we couldn’t be happier. Thank you to our supporters of continuing to give us the chance to rescue dogs like Bert!
Hi Melody! Watson, formerly Bert, has adjusted better than I could of ever hoped for. He loves to play, walk, visit his new dog friends, and sleep through the night. He had a few potty accidents Inside, but today he waited to go until I got home from work, which is pretty impressive! He is very patient with my 2 cats, and I am sure they will soon be the best of friends. He is such a good natured, and I already love him to pieces.
If you have extra time on your hand and would like to help please consider volunteering! Rescue groups need dedicated volunteers to help with events, fundraisers, home checks, transports, etc. All of these things help enable the rescue to expand their network and help more dogs in need.
