No one said it would be easy, they only said it would be worth it.
Meet Andie! Andie was one of the puppies who were rescued as a litter along with their mom. Poor Andie and litter mates were born in a dumpsite but was lucky enough that a rescuer was able to spot them and get them to safety along with their mom. Andie is a sweet pup who would love nothing more then to find a forever home. We are looking for a home that understands the responsibilities of owning and raising a puppy. Andie is patiently waiting!
"A few weeks ago we adopted our little Zeus (formerly known as Andie). For the first week, he was a whole new dog each day as he gradually opened up more and more. Though he very skeptical of us at first and easily startled, he blossomed slowly but surely into an eager, curious, playful and loving pup. Zeus transitioned from pads to outside pottying very quickly (about a week). He absolutely loves other dogs and is playful but respects their boundaries based on their behavior. He loves to play with toys and chew but has been very good with understanding what is a okay to chew and what is not. Since Zeus already knew the command "sit" very well, we taught him the command "stay" which he picked up very quickly. He is eager to please, loves to be around us, and is constantly making us laugh. Its only been a couple weeks but he’s already grown so much. We are SO happy to have this little bundle of joy in our lives and grateful to Love & Second Chances for giving us that opportunity."
If you have extra time on your hand and would like to help please consider volunteering! Rescue groups need dedicated volunteers to help with events, fundraisers, home checks, transports, etc. All of these things help enable the rescue to expand their network and help more dogs in need.
