Taiwan Goldens

Thank you ABC7 News for the segment on our new Taiwan arrivals tonight. Overall 12 very lucky dogs/puppies were able to get their second chance. Thank you also to our amazing rescue partners for stepping up to take in some of these lovely dogs.

NOTE (for those who may argue): What didn’t make it on the air was me explaining what type of dogs we rescue and how our foster homes are primarily for local dogs. We generally take the breeds that are not commonly found in shelters such as Goldens, Frenchies, etc. There is a long waiting list of amazing homes all waiting for Goldens here in the states and there are Goldens dying everyday in Taiwan in shelters and on the streets. From just that aspect, there was an opportunity to make a difference without throwing off balance.

We are not taking Pit bulls or Chihuahuas from Taiwan, if that was the case then we will welcome arguments. However, in this case it is very much a win win situation on both sides. Many of our adopters have already looked through shelters or have been on waiting list for up to 2 years for a good potential. There will always be argument, but being a rescue we saw a chance to make a difference. We have rescued many local dogs and are doing our best to help out these dogs in need. In the end, a dog is a dog and a life is a life.
