Jonah – Adopted!

UPDATE: We are happy to share that Jonah has been adopted! Little Jonah was rescued out of the shelter when his time ran out, thankfully for his loving foster mom Anita he was able to enjoy life until his forever home was found. Now Jonah is enjoy his days with Felisa and being a spoiled only child. (= Enjoy your life Jonah!

Introducing Jonah! Jonah is a spunk 1 year old chi/doxie mix. He is a big time love bug and enjoys playing and snuggling. Jonah is a very well natured and confident young dog. He is playful and is not afraid of new people (adults and kids), dogs or cats. He loves the dog park and plays well with all the dogs. He also likes to snuggle with his human friends.

Jonah is good on leash and is housebroken and crate trained. He wants very much to be loved and bond with the right person. Jonah was rescued from the shelter when his time was running out, he is about 8lb and will stay about that size. We are looking for a home that would give little Jonah all the love and care he deserves. Jonah is patiently waiting!

Foster home update 3/17/12:

Say Hello to Jonah! He is a happy and friendly 1 year old Chihuahua and Dachshund mix. He loves dogs of all size, kids, and cats too. Jonah weighs about 8lbs yet he romps and chases behind his 45lb foster brother at play time. Jonah’s timing is great and avoids the bigger feet stomping by so he can keep up with the game. Playtime with the cat is hysterical! The cat wraps his arms around Jonah and tries to tip him, like prey on the Safari. When it’s Jonah’s turn to be top dog, he runs with the cat playfully until he get’s tackled again. Jonah is very confident and hardly barks at all. He doesn’t seem afraid of anything. He likes the dog park, neighborhood walks, visiting with people he meets along the way and life in general. He is overcoming Demodex mange (non-contagious) and will have it tackled in no time. He is a great eater and shares his food nicely with his foster brother. He has learned to come, sit, and we are working on shake as well. Jonah will be a wonderful addition to any family situation. He is crate trained at night, mostly housebroken and doesn’t have a problem being alone. Although he’ll steal your socks from the laundry basket and snuggle with them!
